In the Fall of 2004, I launched a whole new concept in gourmet food in a small but charming store in Mill Valley....slowly cooked, truly gourmet take out food, where everything was made by us from scratch. And everything was so simple to use. No preservatives, no additives. I was determined to make everything a perfect "10."..so no shortcuts on ingredients or preparation. In fact, the harder to make it, the better!!! The coq au vin took us three days to prepare. It still does, and you can really taste the difference. The food was fabulous and the reception to the food wonderful.
Best of all, even guys with no cooking ability at all could easily handle our food...everything in the oven for 10 minutes and at the same temperature always and in the container it comes in. Some of our female clients lovingly refer to us as "the husband solution."
But my clients complained that their friends in San Francisco or San Mateo could only experience our food and the ease of using our food when they visited in Mill Valley! When would our food be available to them? How could we get it there?
But now, thanks to Planet Organics, it makes me happy to know that we can make life even easier for our existing clients by delivering to their homes and offices...and that we can finally expand our horizons to include the rest of the Bay Area. I am so thrilled to be a part of Planet Organics and look forward to introducing our cuisine to gourmet food lovers (who don't have time to shop and cook) all around the Bay Area.
