Stuart, who is 73, appreciates the convenience of delivery and the fact that organic, seasonal and local food is ‘awfully healthy’, but the element of surprise is what he loves about Planet Organics. Does he ever customize his order? "No!" he cries. "That’s where the excitement comes in!" "I’ve been a member for years and years. It was love at first sight. I’ve learned a lot about food and tried several new things. Planet Organics turned me on to leeks and helped me overcome my fear of eggplant. I’ve adored all of the items I’ve received over the years – except for the time I was nearly beet-ed to death!" When his box arrives, the first thing he does is dive right in, then he circles the box, does a quick inventory, and nibbles and tastes. His idea of the perfect meal is "everything in one pot, in one place, quick gourmet." He loves sweet and hot peppers.
